Don't forget, it's the Grammys: an award granted by the American recording industry, not some charity sisterhood. Here the winner is the one who sells the most and generates the biggest amount of money - not some elitist or hipster flavour of the month. It's obvious that, in matters of electronic music right now, Skrillex is the boss - as David Guetta was last year. So yes, he deserves the awards. That his music stinks is a different story entirely.
Opinión a favor del No por Robert Gras
Skrillex is pure marketing and there is nothing authentic about him. Nobody buys the story. His drops are efficient and, yes, they alter people's hormones - but dance music (which has finally become an honourable genre after years of fighting for respect), doesn't deserve ambassadors like him. I understand that the industry adores him, but his awards are an insult to many people who believe in this music and shed blood, sweat and tears for it. Where can we appeal?
