Deerhoof hardly have time to stand still for a second. About a year and a half ago, they gave us the delicious “ Deerhoof vs. Evil” (Polyvinyl, 2011), and now they're back with their twelfth album in fifteen years, “ Breakup Song”. As usual, a week before its release, you can listen to it, courtesy of NPR. The effort, thirty minutes long, gets straight to the point, with some playful songs like “ There’s That Grain”, Satomi Matsuzaki's sweet and friendly voice on “ Mothball The Fleet”, and the experiments they've been doing forever (like the irresistible cross of funk and noise on “ To Fly Or Not To Fly”). Listen after the jump.
