In January 2012, Domino subsidiary label Double Six will release the debut album by London foursome Trailer Trash Tracys. No more info is available for now, but the first single will be out on 31st October. According to the label, the band are “expanding their sonic palette even further”. On the A-side we find “Wish You Were Red”, a faded and tense cross between The Raveonettes and Girls. Influences from the fifties, the noise-pop of The Jesus And Mary Chain and David Lynch soundtracks are also apparent. On the flipside, “Engelhardt’s Arizona” takes it even easier, offering an enigmatic and, again, cinematic mood in a sixties psychedelic vein. A good appetiser for what they have in store for us in January.
