4AD has just announced the release on the 7th of November of a tasty box set - compiling the three albums by This Mortal Coil, the legendary project led by Ivo Watts-Russell, co-founder and main ideologist of the British label during the first twenty years of its existence. Each album has been re-mastered by John Dent from the original analogue tapes. Alongside “It’ll End In Tears” (4AD, 1984), “Filigree & Shadow” (4AD, 1986) and “Blood” (4AD, 1991), the box will include a fourth, exclusive album titled “Dust & Guitars” – which features the project's singles, plus an unreleased track that was originally meant to form part of the Rough Trade singles club and their cover version of Neil Young's “We Never Danced”. The collection comes packaged in paper sleeves printed to the highest standard by the Ichikudo Company in Japan, along with inner sleeves and booklets. The album sleeves have been re-designed by Ivo Watts-Russell and Vaughan Oliver, the imprint's graphic designer. Check out the incredible package in the video below. You can pre-order your copy here.
