Two years ago, Ellie Goulding got stuck halfway there, trying to become an international star with her first album, the decent but inoffensive pop slice “Lights” (Polydor, 2010), which has sold 1.3 million copies so far. Her luck might change, however, in October of this year, when she'll release her second full-length, “ Halcyon”. Though the album was recorded at home with producer Jim Elliot, her boyfriend Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia have collaborated on some of the pieces. The streets are trembling.
On 30th September, the first single off of the album will come out, “ Anything Could Happen”. But in order to get an idea of the new Goulding, check out her rendition of The Weeknd's “ High For This”, which we brought you a few weeks back, or this new cover version of “ Hanging On” by Active Child, featuring Tinie Tempah. We don't know if the track will be on the new album. “Halcyon” will be out on Cherrytree/Interscope Records on 9th October.
