Strut has the second chapter ready of the its series 'FAC. Dance', the compilations uncovering rarities from the catalogue of mythical Manchester label Factory Records. This delivery is even more diverse than the first, combining the label's trademark post-punk and dance sounds with incursions in genres like Algerian raï, jazz and reggae. On the tracklist are classic label artists like A Certain Ratio, The Durruti Column, and Quango Quango, alongside contributions by Fadela, 52nd Street, Kalima, and The Wake. There are also two tracks by ESG, the group that was the label's first connection with the New York underground.
The album will be out on vinyl and CD, featuring liner notes by Factory biographer James Nice and several never before published photos. The digital version will include five extra tracks. "FAC. Dance 02" is due out on 17th September.
