This coming 23rd October, Photek will complete the circle of his return to recording with the release of “Ku:Palm”. It is first long work in five years and his first album conceived of as such, as a collection of new and original material, since "Solaris" (2000). In statements made to FACT, Rupert Parkes explained that the album is “sitting halfway between Modus Operandi and Solaris” . Keeping in mind that in the former he wrote one of the most brilliant pages in the history of drum'n'bass and that with the second, he dove brilliantly into the deep-house spectrum, we can start to get an idea of what the album will hold. Parkes also explained that after some years, in which he felt that he didn’t fit into the context of club music, now “it seems like everyone from the old school to the newbies are open to anything – and that is a place that I feel very comfortable.” The release of “Ku:Palm” is slated for 23rd October via Photek Productions.
