Coinciding with their gig at Sónar Barcelona (tomorrow at 7 pm at the SonarHall they'll be presenting their intense show with Japanese artist Atsuhiro Ito), Alva Noto and Byetone have just revealed some details on their first releases under the moniker of Diamond Version, a project born from “a live situation”, playing encores together after their respective solo performances.
Raster-Noton decided to give their material to a different label this time: Mute. In the coming months, they'll be releasing five EPs as part of a series, which will lead to Diamond Version's first album on CD+DVD.
The first of those EPs will be called “Technology at the Speed of Life / Empowering Change”, and will be out via Mute on 23rd July. We leave you with a preview of the EP, and with a second video that is conceived as a declaration of intent.
