Japanese imprint Diskotopia brings us the first release by promising producer Myakkah. “ Warehouse Soul EP ” is heavily influenced by early-nineties New York house, with a clotted, underground sound. “ Eyes Up” opens the EP, lit by solar flares and driven by blurry rhythms. “ Eyes Down” and “ I Want To Feel” go deeply into oppressive, nocturnal sounds, in accordance with the “warehouse” bit of the EP title. “ Modern Life”, however, is a stylistic escape that sounds like a classic house producer making cloud-rap. The album’s slated for release on 25th May, digitally. Here we leave you with extracts of all the tracks, plus the video of “ I Want To Feel”.
