The club scene in the German capital is the perfect environment for new friendships if you're part of the electronica world. One fine day, Antaeus Roy (aka Lando Kal) decided to move to Berlin from San Francisco and there - while clubbing - he found new friends in Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary, otherwise known as Modeselektor. His partner Bryant Rutledge (aka Low Limit) still prefers the California sun, but their joint project Lazer Sword now has a German home.
Lazer Swords and Monkeytown started their relationship late last year with “Sounds Sane / Klock”, and now they're releasing a full album. The duo's second LP will be out on 27th April, entitled “Memory”, featuring some serious bass material based on twisted, electronic and instrumental hip-hop. Machinedrum and Jimmy Edgar are featured guest stars.
