If you're a fan of bass vibrations, you'll know young Kahnfrom “Like We Used To/Helter Skelter”, his magnificent debut on Punch Drunk. The Bristol producer now returns to the label with a new 12” - and it's a good one, too. On the A-side we find “Illy”, an orgy of heavenly arpeggios and an unnerving feeling of robotic suspense – which proceeds to crush you with an abrasive bass line and shrink your heart with some fragile vocoder vocals. On the flipside, “Tehran” goes into an ever darker mood, combining an obsessive pulse, martial rhythms and sick Arabic chants. Listen to fragments of the tracks below and if you like them, get out your diary and mark the 17th of October with a red marker.
