Founded in 2008 by Untold, the label Hemlock is releasing its twentieth title this year as one of the beacons of British underground bass; among other milestones, it was the label that discovered James Blake. To celebrate, the head of the platform has created “Chapter One”, a mix-album that is intended to trace out the label’s past, present and future. The selection combines some favourite cuts from the label’s catalogue, from artists such as James Blake, Pangaea and Ramadanman, with previously-unreleased material from names like FaltyDL, Randomer, Joe, Sei A, Guy Andrews and Untold himself. Besides the CD-mix, the label will also release three 12”s with the previously-unreleased cuts. All of this starting on 12th November. To the right, you can consult the release’s entire tracklist, while after the jump we will let you listen to Joe’s “ R.E.J. Bit”, one of the exclusive cuts.
