Kevin Rowland and his Dexys Midnight Runners have always been in our collective memory thanks to classics like “Searching For The Young Soul Rebels” (Parlophone/EMI, 1980) and “Too-Rye-Ay” (Mercury, 1982), and timeless songs like “Come On Eileen”. However, that doesn't take away the fact that the Birmingham band have gone 27 years without releasing any new studio recordings. But the wait is finally over, after a surprise announcement on their Facebook page. On 4th June, they will release “One Day I’m Going To Soar” – after revealing just the sleeve art and a two-minute teaser of one of the songs, “ Now”. One more thing: the band have changed their name to Dexys, just so you know.
