Details On “Worship”, A Place To Bury Strangers' Third Album

Dead Oceans is releasing it in Europe on 11th June

It seems like A Place To Bury Strangers feel right at home with Dead Oceans, the label they released their most recent work on, “Onwards On The Wall EP”. The platform will release their new album “Worship” on 11th June in Europe (America will have to wait until the 26th), described as “explosive, visceral and dark,” which could be expected from Oliver Ackerman's troupe. Apparently, the LP follows the path of the previous EP, marked by Kraut-rock, dream-pop and 80s gothic music, while still sounding as noisy and jagged as always.

Ackerman and bassist Dion Lunadon talk about “Worship”, which was written, recorded, mixed and mastered by themselves, without the help of external producers: “It is our vision of what our music should sound like in 2012, not someone else’s interpretation. Every sound on the album is made by us and our tools; tools created by us, used on no other recordings, and purposefully built for this project,” says Lunadon. As an appetiser, you can listen to You Are The One”, a dark post-punk track with plenty of deadly feedback.
