New details have come out about the coming Pet Shop Boys album, “Elysium”, on sale via Parlophne/Astralwerks from the 7th September in most European countries (in the Americas they’ll have to wait until the 11th). There will be four different editions: besides the standard CD version, there will also be a double CD with instrumental versions of the twelve pieces on the album, a double record and a “Mastered for iTunes” edition with song-by-song comments from Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant.
The album was produced with Andrew Dawson (who has also worked with Kanye West and Jay-Z, among others) in Los Angeles, where the Pet Shop Boys hadn’t worked until now. " We wanted to make this album in a different environment," the duo said in a statement. "Despite frequent visits there we have never made an album in Los Angeles. Working there with Andrew Dawson has enabled us to make a very fresh-sounding album."
To the right of these lines you have the cover art and the tracklist of “Elysium”. We will also take advantage of the opportunity to reclaim the video clip for “ Winner”.
