Chelsea Wolfe Goes Acoustic

The Californian will release her third LP, “Unknown Rooms: A Collection of Acoustic Songs”, on Sargent House in October

After two albums of gothic and slow rock-tinged folk, full of dark-light contrasts and obscurantist tensions and arrangements (“doom-folk”, she called it), Chelsea Wolfe is back on 16th October on Sargent House with a new album of minimal forms. “ Unknown Rooms: A Collection of Acoustic Songs” will hold nine acoustic tracks, on which the artist bares her soul more than ever. Recorded between a forest in northern California and her house in LA, the album is a prelude to another new effort, more electric, expected for early 2013.

We leave you with an advance track, “ The Way We Used To”, a precious piece heavily influenced by phantasmagoric blues and gospel.
