After the retrospective “Elegy For Beach Friday”, prolific experimental musician Chris Madak, alias Bee Mask, returns to Spectrum Spools with “When We Were Eating Unripe Pears”. The album was recorded between 2007 and 2012 in Cleveland and Philadelphia, and, according to Madak, should be seen as the sequel to “Canzoni dal Laboratorio del Silenzio Cosmico”, released in 2010 on Gift Tapes, while at the same time incorporating conceptual elements that could also be found on records like the aforementioned “Elegy For Beach Friday”, and “Vaporware/Scanops”. Even so, Madak claims this album “draws more deeply on formal ideas from the history of records”. The release date is set for 19th November, with the first 300 copies on translucent green vinyl. Here we leave you with the first advance track, “ Moon Shadow Move”.
