A$AP Rocky's Album Delayed (Again)

“LONGLIVEA$AP” won't be out until early 2013

One of the most awaited LPs of 2012 will finally come out in 2013. “LONGLIVEA$AP”, the official debut album from A$AP Rocky, has been delayed once more. The record, originally supposed to come out on 11th September, then pushed back to 31st October, is now slated for release in the “first quarter” of 2013. As you'll see, they're keeping it rather vague, which means, we suspect, there are still a few loose ends to be resolved for Rocky's first full-length on RCA Records and Polo Grounds Music. In fact, the rapper himself admitted in a recent interview with radio station Wild 94.9 he's having problems with the mastering and the clearance of some of the samples. In his own words:

“The issue with my album is I got things on it that’s so out of this world that it’s taking so long to get mastered. That’s the issue, and I refuse to take anything off. It’s complete, everything is being mastered and cleared right now. It’s just so hard to get things cleared, because you got to find people to clear samples. It takes a long time and that’s why it keeps getting pushed back from Halloween to September 11th. I want to say it’s looking like top of the year, first quarter because it makes no sense to put out an album in December.”
