Eight months after pushing the boat out for his fans (giving away over 200 tracks for free last year via Twitter), Wiley rreturns to the more traditional album format under the wings of Big Dada, the label he left shortly after releasing “Playtime Is Over” (2007). After various attempts at doing business with a major label, all of them unsuccessful, the godfather of grime returns to Ninja Tune’s sister label with “100% Publishing”. According to the Big Dada press release, the title of the album was chosen to “ reflect the fact that for the first time ever, the album is produced and voiced entirely by Wiley himself”. The label further states that the result of this self-sufficient effort is a “masterpiece”, the record the Londoner has been trying to make for years, spontaneous and coherent at the same time, reflective and fierce. The record will be in stores on 4th July, preceded by a single, “ Numbers in Action”, which will include remixes by Sticky and Toddla T. This EP will be available from 16th May.
