One of the most anticipated albums of the year has a release date set. “ Goblin”, the second album from the prophetic Tyler, The Creator, will be released on 10th May. To announce it, the brain of Odd Future has once again tapped into his hooligan vein and twisted sense of humour. For three days, a banner with the image of Buffalo Bill (see above) was stuck on Nah Right and 2DopeBoyz, two notorious hip-hop blogs Tyler has had a public and well-known feud with for quite some time now. In his songs, both blogs have been insulted as many times as, for example, Steve Harvey or his dad. Until recently, when you clicked on the banner you would be taken to another website featuring the same image, nothing else. But since yesterday afternoon it has revealed Tyler’s secret: after a few seconds, the image bursts into flames and reveals the release date (plus a few new messages for aforementioned websites). So the rapper has been using his two biggest foes’ websites for the promotion of his record, without the webmasters of said sites knowing. If that wasn’t a brilliant idea, we don’t know what is.
