It’s been a while since we’ve heard from The Rapture. The last time was autumn 2009, when word got out that the band was back in the studio recording in the company of Philippe Zdar (half of Cassius, and producer of Phoenix and Cut Copy, among others). A year and a half later, the tumultuous New York band tweeted that their new album is ready for release on DFA. Yes, The Rapture have ended their major label period (their previous “Pieces Of The People We Love” was released by Mercury/Universal Motown) to return to the arms of our beloved James Murphy, who they left after “Echoes” (2003). “The Grace Of Your Love” will be released on 5th September in Europe, and a day later in the rest of the world. By lack of an advance track, we leave you with a video of The Rapture playing the unreleased track “Sail Away” in Los Angeles, at the FYF Fest 2010, last September.
