After doing the rounds with a couple of singles and EPs ( “ Dressed In Dresden” and the recent “ This Desert”), Eleanore Everdell and Jason Friedman from Brooklyn announce the details of their first long player for Warp as The Hundred In The Hands. Even if there isn’t an official release date yet, we’ve learned that the record, 11 track produced by the duo and Jacques Renault, should be released in the autumn. In a recent interview with Fact, the band said “There’s definitely a few things that are more in the Jacques mode [DFA/Runaway's Jacques Renault has worked extensively with THITH], but also things that branch out a little further into other territories… There’s a whole batch of tracks that we think of as having a more summer on the stoop vibe. They’re more dubbed out, gauzy and ethereal. And then there’s a whole other batch that are maybe more pulled together, sharper; night-music, avant-pop.” Previews will coming along very soon.
