The British dubstep scene gains another compilation featuring highlights of an ever-popular genre. To the recent compilations by labels like Soul Jazz, Multiverse, Punch Drunk, Tectonic and Ministry Of Sound, we must add now “Swarf Pot”, a collection of tracks selected by Jason Goz. Goz is the owner of Transitions, a mastering studio located in South-East London frequented by many of the most important representatives of British underground post-rave scene—from drum'n'bass to dusbtep, with labels like DMZ, Hyperdub, Planet Mu and Soul Jazz among their clients. As opposed to some other engineers, Goz is truly attracted to the music he masters and records on vinyl every day. This passion has led him to compile on “Swarf Pot” some of his favourite works, with tracks by Skream, Coki, Benga, LD and Kromestar, that owe some of their polished edge to Transitions. The album is due out on 13th December through Ringo Recordings, a label run by Jason Goz himself.
