Spiritualized, the band of tormented Jason Pierce, returns to activity after a discographic hiatus of almost three years. For now, little is known about the album that will follow-up the brilliant “Songs in A & E” (Sanctuary/Cooperative, 2008). If the signs are right, the record, Spiritualized’s seventh, will be out in Autumn on Double Six, a Domino Records sublabel, and Fat Possum, the imprint taking care of the band’s American releases from now on. Right now there are no plans to tour, apart from a special concert the group will give on 11th October at the Royal Albert Hall in London. If you want to be there, pre-sales open this Friday, 11th March. The band is already used to these kinds of venues, as last year they offered several recitals playing their masterpiece “Ladies And Gentleman We Are Floating In Space” in its entirety, accompanied by a full orchestra. More details soon.
