It seems like longer, but it’s only been a year since Soft Metals sold their souls to retro keyboards and post-industrial synthetic rhythms. Without eschewing genres like Italo, primitive house, rugged synth-pop and basically all things synthetic and with a glorious past, Ian Hicks and Patricia Hall came into our lives by surprise with “The Cold World Melts” (Captured Tracks, 2010). A year later, the two are getting ready for their album debut. “Soft Metals” will be out on 19th July, on Captured Tracks. Plus, you can already try before you decide to buy: press play below to be seduced by the synthetic shine of Soft Metals.
