As if the whole post-dubstep thing wasn’t already unclear enough – “post-dubstep” as a temporary block in the hardcore continuum rather than as an aesthetic– here come Roska and Untold to give new arguments to those who think, with reason, that the boundaries between genres in the British electronic underground are becoming more blurred every day. The two producers have been sharing a studio recently and the fruits of those encounters –the first, as there will possibly be more– will soon be released on the Numbers imprint. On 27th September “Myth” will come out, a joint 12”, not to be confused with a split release. If we can believe the words coming from the Glasgow label, far from letting the personality and style of either party prevail, the two cuts represent “the exact sonic crossroads between the UK House and Funky of Roska, and the otherwordly, next level Grime aesthetic of Untold”. Be your own judge and listen to the tunes on the Numbers website.
