The 14th edition of Red Bull Music Academy was supposed to be celebrated between 23rd October and 25th November in Tokyo. The Japanese capital would be added to the list of headquarters of the Academy, already featuring cities such as Barcelona, Berlin, Melbourne, Cape Town, Sao Paolo and Rome. But there’s been a change of plans. Yesterday, the RBMA organisation sent out a press release announcing that, due to the 11th March disaster in Japan, Red Bull Music Academy has decided to look for a new destination, to be announced on 11th April.
While the city hosting RBMA changes, its dates won’t. Red Bull Music Academy XIV will take place between 23rd October and 4th November (first leg) and between 13th and 25th November (second leg). Aware of the consequences for everyone participating in the event, the RBMA organisation has decided to postpone the subscription deadline to 26th April. All other pre-Academy events already programmed will keep their respective dates and locations.
