Because sharing experiences with others is a way to grow, Peter Broderick keeps embarking on all kinds of collaborative projects. While, about a month ago, we told you about “Glimmer”, his split release with Takumi Uesaka, today we feature an album, “Réplica”, which brings us closer to home.
Rauelsson is Raúl Pastor, a man from Castellón who one fine day decided to travel to Portland, OH, for his study and ended up, because of his serene and delicate folk-pop and with the help of Laura Gibson, making a name for himself on the local music scene. Although Broderick’s musical career also has its roots in Portland, this collaboration with Rauelsson started from the distance. The two exchanged recordings via mail until they set up a meeting in which “Réplica” was born, an album recorded with the vinyl format in mind –although there will be a CD release as well, and both come with a free download code– featuring two long pieces signed by the two of them. The album will be released on 11th January, 2011, via Hush Records. In Spain, the release is through Borne.
