“Tomboy” out in April

Panda Bear

The waiting will be over soon. The sequel to “Person Pitch” (Paw Tracks, 2007) is getting closer every day. Early last week, Noah Lennox told Wall Street Journal (there you have him, talking about his new year’s resolutions in an article that featured other artists as well, such as Ozzy Osbourne, Andre 3000, Slash and Sean Lennon) that his album was “really, really close to a final mix”. And it seems he was talking seriously, as five days after the publication of the article there is an official release date for “Tomboy”. If the forecast is correct this time, the album will be in stores on 18th April, via Paw Tracks. Before the album’s release, Kompakt will release a new 7” of which no details are known as of yet. Regarding the album, the press release states that all songs, also the ones already released on 7”, have been reworked by Panda Bear and mixed again by Peter Kember, better known as Sonic Boom.

A few days ago a skater video appeared on the internet, directed by Atiba Jefferson and Ty Evans, that has a new Panda Bear song as soundtrack. The tune, “Atiba Song”, could be part of “Tomboy”. We’ll know for sure when Paw Tracks releases the official tracklist. {vimeo width="100%" height="270"}18718813{/vimeo}
