Idiot Box

P.U.D.G.E. Ramp Recordings keep on exploiting L.A. “beat” trend. After maxi-singles by Computer Jay and TOKiMONSTA, the London-based label is gearing up to release “Idiot Box”, the first long player by Reginald Sinkler II aka P.U.D.G.E., who earlier this year collaborated on the first half of “Los Angeles 1/10”, splitting duties with Dibiase, as part of the Irish label All City’s survey of the LA scene. Though “Idiot Box” is his album debut, P.U.D.G.E. has been on the music scene for a while, after getting a bass guitar, a rhythm box and a four-track recorder at 9-years-old from his dad, which started down a path towards turntablism, mc-ing (where he’s shared a stage with Mos Def, El P and other exponents of the Lyricist Lounge), and producing beats for other people (on cuts by Rawkus Records and Stacey Epps) before turning his efforts to the instrumental beat-making on “Idiot Box”. The album will be available from 27th July via Ramp. P.U.D.G.E. - “Idiot Box”
