On - the transatlantic project by Sylvain Chauveau (France) and Steven Hess (USA) based on both men’s love for atomised and animist ambient drone – is releasing a new work. Type Recordings will soon be putting out “Something That Has Form And Something That Does Not”, the third album on the imprint that has been looking to break boundaries in music for five years now. After the efforts of Helge Sten aka Deathprod, making the final sound of “Your Naked Ghost Comes Back At Night” (Les Disques Du Soleil Et De L'Acier, 2004) darker and denser, and Pierre-Yves Macé, who took care of “Second Souffle” (Brocoli, 2007), this third chapter of the collaboration saga it’s Christian Fennesz’ turn to work his magic on the creations of Hess and Chauveau. The man from Vienna was asked to post-produce, adapt, rearrange and mix “Something That Has Form And Something That Does Not”, an album which, in the Type custom, is already available on very limited edition vinyl, while the digital release date has not yet been set.
