If you were swept away by the bottomless and diffuse beauty of “Seeping Through The Veil Of The Unconscious” (Digitalis, 2010), then you’ll be happy to know that Rachel Evans, the soul of Motion Sickness Of Time Travel, has a follow-up ready. The new and entirely solo effort (over the past few months we’ve seen three split-releases by MSOTT and others) is called “Luminaries & Synastry” and will be out on 27th June, via Digitalis. Like its predecessor, it’s an effort on which Evans combines synths, drones and manipulated voices (her own, singing balsamic and beatific tones) to shape a vaporous and evasive sound. In this case, however, the cosmic pulse is less dominant and the focus is more earthly. The record will only be released on vinyl, including a CD with two extra cuts.
