“Room(s)”. That’s the title of the new album by New Yorker Travis Stewart –the man behind Machinedrum, also half of Sepalcure– on Planet Mu (out on 11th July). A few weeks ago we heard the details of “Sacred Frequency”, the EP that will serve as an advance of the album, to be released on 6th June. Now, Mike Paradinas’ label makes our mouths water with the advance listening (check it out here) of the 11 tracks of “Room(s)”, an album Stewart claims to have worked on guided by instinct, hunches and comings and goings of inspiration, without too much care for the details. As far as we can hear, Machinedrum’s muses are fans of footwork without forgetting about a whole life of house and diva R&B. Pure glamour at 160 BPM, available from July on CD, double LP and digital.
