Matt Cutler, a.k.a. Lone, has some releases on its way. On 25th October, a 12” featuring “Once In A While” (a cut which has been highly praised ever since Kode 9 premiered it to open his contribution to the “DJ-Kicks” series) will be release via Werk Disc. Besides the pertinent remixes by Sinden (close to soca) and Midland (a more floating one this time around), there’s room for “Raptured”, synthetic electronic music with an 80’s boogie and funky house aftertaste you might be familiar with as it has been available online for a while now. There’ll be a follow-up to this release in November, an 8-track mini album entitled “Emerald Fantasy Tracks” (we’re still waiting for the full tracklist, though we know for sure it’ll be a 12”), the second reference of Magic Wire, the label Lone founded at the beginning of the summer.
We’ll leave you with a recent podcast the Brit prepared for his show at London’s XOYO so you can have a taste of what Lone sounds like.
