After a year of relative silence, English iconoclast Leyland Kirby resurfaced last April to tell us he had four albums in the pipeline. So far, we’ve only had word of the fascinating first volume of the series of 12”s, “Intrigue & Stuff”. Apart from the three remaining releases of the vinyl only series, James Kirby has two more albums ready as The Caretaker (one of them the soundtrack of “Patience”, a new film by Grant Gee) and another one as Leyland Kirby. If you prefer digital over vinyl, you’re in luck: the man is offering a limited series of digital subscriptions that will get you everything he’s releasing this year (four EPs, three LPs plus additional material) for a mere £15. You’ll have to hurry though, because Kirby will allow for 500 subscriptions tops. More info here.
