Junior Boys have just announced that their label Domino will release their new album, “ It’s All True” on 14th June in Spain, and 20th June in the UK. According to the press release, the record was recorded between Hamilton (Canada), Berlin and Shanghai, the latter city making quite an impression on Jeremy Greenspan during the recording process. According to Domino, songs like “Itchy Fingers” feature the sounds of local musicians recorded by Greenspan during his stay. Apart from impacting on the album sonically, Shanghai also influenced the effort visually; in fact, the image on the sleeve of “It’s All True” is a photo taken by his sister of the British tent at the Shanghai expo last year. As a first advance of the record, we can download “ep”. Another preview will be released shortly, called “Banana Ripple”, nine epic minutes including remixes by The Field and disco myth Tom Moulton.
