With his first 12” “Bodywork” (Feel Music, 2008), young producer John Roberts gained the love and admiration of Peter M. Kersten (better known as Lawrence) and David Lieske (aka Carsten Jost), thus becoming the first North American artists to sign for the Dial label. Two years after that and in the wake of a triad of critically acclaimed maxi singles, the man from Cleveland – even though he is based, like so many of his contemporaries, in Berlin – is preparing his debut album, “Glass Eights”. Since last summer, when he released his “ Mirrors EP ” (which included “Pruned”, the only previously released track to be included on the album), Roberts has had time to finish nine new tracks that give a more profound idea of his vision on deep-house - calm, atmospheric and experimental. The album will be in shops from 11th October.
