19th July will be a special day for the collectors of all things Joanna Newsom. On that day, Drag City will release a single-sided 12” vinyl featuring the track “What We Have Known”. On the flipside there will be an engraving and the sleeve will be especially designed in a civil war (the American one, that is) style. The piece will be familiar to the most avid followers of the harp folk artist, as it was part of the “Yam And Glue” EP, self-released in 2003 by Newsom, and later re-recorded for the B-side of “Sprout And The Bean”. In fact, it was part of her regular live repertoire at the time. You can check it out below. The singer will also be playing in Barcelona on 28th July at the San Miguel presents Fly Me To The Moon. Readers in Spain will be able to get their copy of “What We Have Known” there.
