Jneiro Jarel

Jneiro JarelNew York head Jneiro Jarel, also known in beat and avant-rap circles as his instrumental alter ego Dr Who Dat?, as the mastermind behind The Shape of Broad Minds, and by his first album as Willie Isz (alongside Khujo Goodie of Goodie Mob), will have a new album out by the end of this summer. In September, we learn, “Fauna” will appear on the Kindred Spirit label. This time he’s using his own name and judging from the artwork (courtesy of Machine) and the snippets on Kindred Spirit’s website, the record seems once again to be oriented around African and Latin sounds, with a slight emphasis on African-Brazilian, from the perspective of modern instrumental beat.
