In the end, his promise to release two albums this year remains unfulfilled, although he did come close. We’re talking about blonde dandy Jeremy Jay, that craftsman of dreamy pop with a pale charm and disaffected pose, who’s as close to the romanticism of fifties rock’n’roll as he is to the misty emotion of psych-folk and the neon dance-pop of the eighties. The second of the records promised by Jay (slated for the autumn) will actually see the light in 2011. There’s no tracklist available yet (although, if plans haven’t changed, the songs “Out on the Highway”, “Caught in a Whirl” and “Wild Orchids” will be included), but at least it’s official that the album, “Dream Diary”, will be in stores on 8th March via K Records. See the record’s artwork after the jump. First tracks available for listening soon.
