Little by little, details are emerging the surround Interpol’s fourth album, which is to mark a new stage in the band’s trajectory. So far we have listened to the track “ Lights” which Paul Banky and co. offered us last April, but it’s the circumstances around the record that promise to make the most marked difference. As you probably already know, Carlos Dengler has left the band. The new bass player will be David Pajo (ex Slint, Tortoise, The For Carnation, and Stereolab amongst others). Adding to the new signing, Brandon Curtis ( Secret Machines) will be joining the live band as violist and keyboard player. Furthermore, the long player won’t be released through Capital Records but through Matador, the label that published the first two albums. There’s no tracklist as yet for “Interpol”, but it’s official that the album will be released on September 14th.
