It was only a matter of time. Under the auspices of Jonny Dub and Illum Sphere, the Hoya:Hoya nights have become a reference in their own right for the new and devoted British hybrid electronica scene (dubstep and post-dusbtep, wonky beats, future funk, UK bass, garage and funky properly mixed to the ecstasy of fans). In less than two years, the Manchester club has become a must for many of the main representatives of British bass continuum. It’s obvious, then, that as a natural extension of those nights, Dub and Illum Sphere have decided to turn it as well into a new label. The only condition to release on Hoya:Hoya is to perform at the club. The first reference of the label is a 12” shared by three of the club’s regulars: Krystal Klear, Lone and Illum Sphere himself fill both sides of “Hoya 001”, an EP you should be able to find in your favourite record store as of 1st November.
