Herman Dune keep going at their own pace, playing when they feel like it, travelling around the world and taking things easy when recording. We have already fully digested their previous release, the notable “Next Year In Zion” (City Slang, 2008), so it’s time to celebrate now that we know a new album by David-Ivar Herman Düne and Néman Herman Düne is imminent, their third since they were reduced to a duo after losing their diaeresis. The pair’s new album will be called “Strange Moosic” and will be released by the end of May on City Slang, containing songs that have never been played live. The choice of Portland for the recording allowed them to collaborate with friends like Rachel Blumberg (The Decemberists), Sean Flinn and Adam Selzer (in charge of the production). Although on the preliminary version of this record there were twenty tracks, the final selection will be reduced to twelve, among which will be “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know”, the opening track and first single off of the album. In a few hours you will be able to download the track here.
