Stra8 Kila No Filla

Freddie GibbsAfter a bad experience with Interscope (the man who signed him left the company and he was there without anyone supporting him) and a couple of mixtapes ( The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs and “Midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik”, both released in the Summer of 2009) that won him the attention of those following the beats and rhymes scene, rapper Freddie Gibbs is now only a few steps away from finally releasing his first official record. For now, the Gary, Indiana, rhymer is making do with the EP format – his Str8 Killa EP is a series of eight cuts featuring guests such as Bun B, Dan Auerbach ( The Black Keys), Chip Tha Ripper and Chuck Inglish ( The Cool Kids) over baselines served by Block Beataz and DJ Burn One. This debut EP will be available in stores from 3rd August via the Decon/ Gibbs Family imprint. Those who don’t want to wait until next Tuesday should run to get Str8 Killa No Filla, an official mixtape with a generous tracklist (21 cuts) which can be downloaded from the XXL website now.
