Field Day festival, back for a fifth year to the sunny climes of East London's Victoria Park, has just announced the quota of new talents and gold standard favourites it'll be pulling together for your good times this summer.

Among the massive list of artists booked for this year's edition are hard hitters including Actress, L-Vis 1990, Mount Kimbie, Pearson Sound and Roska; main men like Gruff Rhys, Matthew Dear, Ariel Pink's Haunted Grafffiti and Tortoise; and new unmissables like James Blake, Hype Williams, Anna Calvi, Zola Jesus, Factory Floor, Glasser, Clock Opera, Warpaint and Twin Shadow. Check the website for the full list so far. We'll bring you more news as it comes, but for now we can say the festival will take place on Saturday 6th August this year, with gates opening at 11am for twelve hours of enjoyment of acts you love and those you don't, yet. Early birds tickets are £39.50 here.

Look out for the ever growing number of after parties in East and Central London, and the new Field Day residency at XOYO, monthly in the run up to the festival. This first one is tomorrow, Friday 11th March, and will be headed up by Four Tet (DJ set), Floating Points, Casper C and Brackles. Tickets are £9.50 here. {youtube width="100%" height=273"}mQJHNrsMoFU{/youtube}
