It's now one week to go, and we're counting down the days until Field Day festival is ready to open its gates in East London's Victoria Park on Saturday 31st July. Now in its 4th year, this edition promises to be the strongest line-up the festival has yet presented, including Phoenix, The Fall, No Age and These New Puritans for the indie fans, Matthew Herbert's One Club for the experimentalists and storming the dance tents will be everyone from James Holden to newcomers Egyptian Hip Hop. There will also be plenty of activities (and non-activities) to take part in when you need a break from musical stimulation: head to the Village Green when you feel like lazing around on a bale of hay with a cider in hand. They've always promised sack races and old-fashioned games, and this year it looks like the weather will actually let us join in, instead of making us seek shelter from the rains packed like sardines inside the tents and occasionally making a dash for it, as we remember doing last year. May the summer in London never end... If you haven't got you ticket yet, click here to go through to the official Field Day website where a ticket for the whole day will cost you £33.33 and you can also check out the full line-up.
