Four years have gone by since “The Reminder”, and it’s time for a new Feist album. Last week the Canadian premiered a new website, where a mysterious teaser in black and white warns you that something’s going on. Yesterday, on the same web page, a second piece appeared in which we see Leslie Feist supervising the recording of string arrangements for one of her new tracks. And yes, it's confirmed that the series of teasers, twelve in total, are focussed on the tracks of the chanteuse's upcoming third album. Her new effort, recorded with the help of Chilly Gonzalez, Mocky and Valgeir Sigurðsson on arrangements and production, will be called “Metals”, and will be out on 4th October on Cherrytree/ Interscope (Arts & Crafts will release it in Canada). We'll soon be able to offer you the first advance track, but in the meantime you can keep yourself busy with the teasers.
