The Festival Internacional de Benicàssim has just confirmed eight new names for the 2011 line-up. Herman Dune will bring their folk to Benicàssim with a new record ( “Strange Moosic”) under their belt. The electronic section of the festival will feature the raw drum’n’bass, breakbeat, rock and hip-hop crossover of Chase & Status, the duo that’s currently high on the British charts. Aldo Linares does his annual appearance, but this time not as a DJ but presenting his own melancholic and contemplative pop songs, and he couldn’t have chosen a better stage to do so. Two of the bands that are most shaking up the Spanish scene, Nadadora and Basque singer-songwriter Ainara LeGardon, are added to the Spanish section, riveted with Astrud & Col.lectiu Brossa and Amable, the reputed Razzmatazz DJ. The Paris Riots will return to the Levant coast as well, after their passage in 2009.
