According to Kitsuné’s calculations –and they’re the ones keeping tally– Germans Jens Moelle and Ä°smail Tüfekçias, better known as Digitalism, haven’t released anything new in three years. The bosses of the French label haven’t said anything about the album release date as yet (apparently, it’ll be out soon) but they are treating us to “Blitz”, the first single of the new album they effusively describe as “a supernova that explodes through the speakers, bringing with it a euphoric state of consciousness, and while we may know there are far greater things happening within this moment, all you can do is dance.”. The song, the first stop on Digitalim’s “epic space odyssey,” will be out on 9th November on 12”, along with remixes by Howard Bass and Villa and a second new song called “Stratosphere”. Until the time comes, listen to the teaser of “Blitz” below—three minutes of rain and synthetic tunes which announce an explosion that doesn’t seem to arrive. As for the rest, use your imagination.
