Listen to his album of remixes

Caribou

Making “ dance music that’s liquid in the way it flows back and forth, the sounds slosh around in pitch, timbre, pan… Dance music that sounds like it’s made out of water, rather than made out of metallic stuff like most dance music does.” This is the premise of “Swim” (City Slang, 2010), the great long player by recent convert to organic dance music, Caribou. Not long ago we told you this album will have a juicy new add-on soon in the form of a collection of remixes, in stores digitally and on CD as of Monday, as a bonus with the “Swim” vinyl release. But until that moment comes, you can listen to “Swim Remixes”, a reference featuring Junior Boys, Gold Panda, Gavin Russom, Fuck Buttons, DJ Koze, Ikonika, Holden, and Walls, among others. With such a line up, things can’t go wrong. Here’s the score for this Thursday morning…
